These pictures were shot 5 days after the collapse of the Twin Towers when nobody could get inside ground zero unless he/she was part of the gigantic emergency machine set up from US authorities. Around the fateful hole, along Broadway, down in the Lower West side life is slowly starting again, Wall street goes back to business and newyorkers show on their faces signs of mourning and speechless questions, after their society was struck to the core.
